To Kill a Dinosaur
				(Christoph Endres)
A long time ago, when you were not here
I think I remember that it was next year
My sister and I built our first time machine
It took quite a while and we painted it green
The things that you know but you can't prevent
I think you'll remember that certain event
The riots for freedom, which started the fight
It may take a while until we get things right
When Grumpy found out he'll be Schrödinger’s cat
He was really annoyed and a little bit sad
He stumbled and fell and slipped on some rocks
which fell on the floor and opened the box
Misfortune continued, and you better hear
The rest of our story was just what you fear
So we needed to fix the mistake that we made
by killing the reptile that opened the gate
We travel through time and we don't know what for
The future is easy if you skip the war
The past is still scary, as it was before
				Tonight we'll kill a dinosaur
So finally at the end of our chase
We might have saved the whole human race
But then again what good would it do?
I think it is better for me and for you
The decision was hard but in the end
We knew we would kill our mutual friend
There was no escape, there was no way out
The traitor was killed; you may have heard his shout
We travel through time and we don't know what for
The future is easy if you skip the war
The past is still scary, as it was before
			Tonight we'll kill a dinosaur
Sometimes we wonder where we all will go
Our history started a long time ago
				And all you wanted
Was to take it for granted
				But still you feel
				Nothing is real
A long time ago, when you were not here
I think I remember that it was next year
Two cats have invented the time machine
It took quite a while and they painted it green
We never thought that someone would miss
this two-legged creature, but remember this
There’s no guarantee, there’s no escape
but there's a bright future showing its shape
